UWE Student Films

As part of my MA in Wildlife Filmmaking at the University of the West of England, I was asked to create two videos for assessment – one of a seated interview, the other of an actuality sequence. I chose to make both during a trip to Aberdeen in November 2018.

Dolphinwatcher is a short film about my grandmother’s relationship to the resident dolphins in Aberdeen harbour, which she regularly visits as it it only a short drive from her home.

Everest: My Grandfather’s Mountain is about my grandfather’s two attempts to climb the tallest mountain in the world while with the British Army.
